FIELDS OF SPECIALISATION AND AREAS OF EXPERTISE

*River Pilotage to and from the southern limits of the Demerara and Berbice Rivers.

* Agency Representation, Berthing, Loading and or/Offloading of Vessels within draft limitations of the Georgetown Harbour (6m and 7.5m at Low and High Water respectively).

*Stevedore Contracting for Bulk, Breakbulk and Containerized Cargo.

*Covered and Open Storage for Breakbulk and Containerized Cargo (LCL and FCL)

* Equipment Hire and Rental Services: Road Haulage, Lifting and Marine Equipment.

* Freight Solicitation and Customs Brokerage Service.

* Transportation Services (Land and Marine via, Tugs and Barges, Tractor, Container Trailer and Flat and Low Bed Trailers).

Shipbrokerage: The Port Facility operates a cargo solicitation service on behalf of a number of shipping companies and can receive or dispatch cargo to any part of the world. We are agents for two large Shipping Lines and Handler for the latter (in the given order):

Ø Haul, Norway: The world’s third largest vehicle carrier operates on a monthly basis

Ø Intermarine, New:For moving Breakbulk Orleans and Project Cargo

Ø Maersk/Sealand: We also performed as Terminal Operators for this Container Line up until September 2001 (the service to Guyana, Cayenne and Suriname by Maersk is currently suspended and under review).

Ø NYK (Japan): Currently inactive
