partners in the following areas:
1.
Water Treatment Plants
The Partners
must have experience in the erection, maintenance and rehabilitation of Water
Treatment Plants. These programs will attract international funding from the
World Bank, IDB, and EEC etc
2.
Ship Building/Ship Repairs
The
Company is seeking joint venture partnership with Companies in Ship building
and Ship Repairs. The scope of the project is to provide a floating Dry Dock
with a capacity to accommodate vessels with up to 2,500 tones to compliment our
current Ship Repairs facilities, which include two (2) Graving Docks and a
Slipway.
The
joint venture partner apart from providing a floating Dry Dock will also be
expected to provide an experienced Shipyard Manager. The markets to be pursued
are not only in the Guyana but the Caribbean, South and Central America,
Suriname and Cayenne. GNIC will provide all other resources.
3.
Container /Bulk Cargo Shipping Lines
GNIC
is seeking to attract Shipping Lines in and out of Guyana, North America,
Europe and Asia to use its Port facilities.
GNIC
has one of the largest Bert facilities in Port Georgetown with an area of
13,000 sq. m and a dept of 6m at low and 7.5m at high tide. There exist covered
storage of approximately 1,200 sq. m and uncovered storage space covering
14,000 sq. m which could easily accommodate approximately 2,000 TEUs three tier
stacking or substantial volumes of other types of break bulk cargo such as sawn
lumber or piles, quarrying products, vehicles and or other heavy equipment.
